I ordered around 50ft of 4/4  SEOOW Flexible Portable Cable and used it for the power cable. As for the oven I built it to heat motorcycle frames, rims and various other parts for powder coating. The oven will get to around 450 degrees. Hopefully this is the start of a small business!

What is the Difference Between THHN Vs. THWN Wire

What is the difference between THHN vs THWN?

THHN is a code for thermoplastic high heat resistant nylon coated wire which is allowed for use in dry to damp location and rated for a maximum temperature of 90ºC (194ºF).

THWN is a code for thermoplastic heat and water resistant which is suitable for use in both dry and wet locations with a maximum temperature rating of 75ºC (167ºF).

The THWN wire we carry is actually coded THWN-2 indicating its rated 90 degrees for both wet or dry locations which is even better.

All of our wire here at Wire And Cable Your Way is dual rated THHN/THWN-2 which contains all of the above ratings and properties.  This dual rated THHN/THWN-2 will be printed on the jacket of each wire.

I had to share this photo from our dear customer Teddy down in Texas who sent in this photo below of a guy who he thought may have been me!

Teddy emailed us the photo and said he is a big fan of the blog and reads it everyday!

I love the shirt and the saying not only because it has my name in it but I believe that if you have a strong will you can always find a way!
