Wire And Cable Your Way would like to congratulate John Kielty for winning 3rd place in our February 2015 photo contest!

Although this photo may be a little “out of the box” we really loved the creativity of how the wire was being used.

John uses the copper in our 350 MCM Welding Cable Class K for tree sculptures.

Here is what John had to say:

My project is one of many copper tree sculptures embedded in unique rocks which my wife and I collect from the USA and Canada in our RV travels.
I use only 350 MCM Welding Cable Class K copper wire. Our friends and family seem to enjoy these gifts. These copper trees are set in drilled holes in a nice piece of Sierra Nevada quartz.

2/0 Welding Cable

Are you installing your own Solar PV system and looking for welding cable for your battery bank?

If so, Wire And Cable Your Way has several different sizes of high-quality welding cables in stock!

Our customer, Barry, who sent in the photo above purchased 2/0 Red Welding Cable (Class K) for his battery bank that he has for his solar pv system.

Here is what Barry had to say about the battery banks:

The battery bank is 8 X 6 volt deep cycle batteries in series and parallel to produce 24 V DC with 800 amp hours. Since we get 300+ days of sun, the system is working well. I produce about 3.5 Kwh per day varying from 4 to 38 Amps subject to the position of the sun.  The batteries are housed in a separate 24VDC ventilated bunker just outside the garage. I purchased your 2/0 welding cable for my batter bank connection and everything is working out great!  Thank you Wire And Cable Your Way!

What is ROHS Compliant?

RoHS Complian

Many of our cables here at Wire And Cable Your Way are listed as RoHS Compliant under the specs on our product pages.

Every once in awhile we get asked from customer what RoHS Compliant means?

For those curious about what RoHS stands for please see below:

RoHS (Restriction of Use of Hazardous Substances) regulations limit or ban specific substances — lead, cadmium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB), mercury, hexavalent chromium, and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) flame retardants – in new electronic and electric equipment.

The definition and aim of the RoHS directive is quite simple. The RoHS directive aims to restrict certain dangerous substances commonly used in electronic and electronic equipment. Any RoHS compliant component is tested for the presence of Lead (Pb), Cadmium (Cd), Mercury (Hg), Hexavalent chromium (Hex-Cr), Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB), and Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE).

If your wire & cable needs to be RoHS Compliant review our product pages to ensure it contains this listing.

Call 855-880-8010 with any questions.
